Jenelle has seven years of optical experience and loves engaging with patients. Jenelle joined the practice in December 2019 as a technician, then advanced to the role of contact lens technician in May 2020. The following year Jenelle added to her skillset and became an optician and says that she loves helping patients pick out their new glasses. As a contact lens specialist, her goal is to ensure a patient’s first experience as a contact lens wearer goes smoothly and is not frightening to the patient. Her ability to remain calm and engaged is beneficial as she explains all the necessary steps in the insertion and removal process. Jenelle's favorite thing to do when not at work is to spend as much time with her 3 dogs, 3 snakes, and her husband Michael. She also enjoys shopping and being taken on new adventures.
Loren has over 13 years’ experience in the optical industry. She began her career as an optometric technician and contact lens technician. She had the opportunity to train as an optician and found she enjoyed working with patients and styling eyewear. Loren joined the Great Lakes Vision Care team in August 2018 and found a niche in working in an independent optical practice. She says she is a 'Crazy Plant Lady' and enjoys doting on her collection of houseplants, and summer vegetable garden. Loren finds simple beauty in the way life works, with nature and biology, and the science of it all.
Kiah joined our practice in October 2022. She is a paraoptometric technician and works alongside of the doctors as a medical scribe. Kiah enjoys being a part of a helpful and kind team. You might think she is quiet, but she gives her all to help patients with their needs and she continues to learn more about the health of our eyes. When not at work, Kiah enjoys nature and spending time with her lovely cat, Soup.
Logan has been a member of our team since December of 2022. She is one of our Patient Advocates and greets patients with a warm welcome. When she is not at work, you will find her spending time with her daughter and husband, and they will be welcoming another child in 2025. GLVC is happy to have Logan as part of our team and appreciates her willingness to go above and beyond for our patients.
Tanya joined the practice in September 2022 as a paraoptometric technician. Recently she transitioned to the role of Patient Advocate serving our patients at the front desk. Tanya enjoys helping people and believes this is a great characteristic of our team. When she’s not at work, she enjoys spending time with her sisters and finding great venues that include wine tasting.
Zoey joined our practice in May of 2024. She is a paraoptometric technician and can also be found helping at the front desk welcoming patients. She enjoys being part of a wonderful and helpful team. Her smile is infectious, and she enjoys the interaction with patients. When not at work, you can find her crocheting or hanging out with her three cats, Heidi, Sunny, and Mumu.
Kelly joined Great Lakes Vision Care in the early part of 2024. Kelly has 28 years of experience in the ophthalmic industry. Kelly will always greet you with a big smile and loves getting to know our patients and their families. She has two daughters and a grandson who all keep her very busy. Her fur babies are Suki, a black lab, Ozzy, a Great Dane, and the newest addition to the family is Ember, a husky shepherd mix.
Ashley joined the practice in May of 2023 as our biller. She brings 15 years of medical billing experience to this position. We are pleased that Ashley has adapted well to billing vision benefits as well as medical benefits. She has a “can-do” attitude which is perfect for her position. When not working, she loves to spend time with her husband and two sons at their lake house in Coldwater. Being on the boat, out in the water and in the sun, is her idea of a perfect day!
Sara has been at Great Lakes Vision Care since February 2024 and has over 23 years’ experience in the optical field. Sara prides herself as a ‘customer service enthusiast’ and very much enjoys helping guests pick out their glasses. She strives to give each individual an amazing experience as she believes choosing glasses should be fun and easy vs. stressful and scary. Sara is a lifelong resident of Monroe County and enjoys shopping local. In her spare time, she is busy with her three children. She enjoys reading, singing, and camping. Sara is an avid rock collector and enjoys going up north every summer for vacation.
Traci is our Office Operations Manager, overseeing both teams at Great Lakes Vision Care and Pinnacle Eye Group in Lambertville. She has been a part of the team for a year and comes with over 26 years of optical experience. Starting out as a part-time job when she was 19 years old, she never knew how she would grow into this role and eventually make it a career for herself. She loves working with the staff and helping customers as well as building relationships that last for years. When not working Traci enjoys spending time with her family which includes four daughters and two grandchildren and cooking and hosting for her friends and large family. She also enjoys traveling and taking trips to new places once or twice a year.
Bailey joined Great Lakes Vision Care in May 2024. She has over five years’ experience as an optician, having worked at Pinnacle Eye Group in 2022. She is a welcomed addition to our team. A few fun facts about Bailey are she loves iced coffee, and she enjoys baking, art, and traveling. You can find her spoiling her pit bull, Piggy. She is a delight, and we are confident our patients will be inspired by her enthusiasm.
